Remarks.—The Finnishhispronouncedas a guttural; nearly as Ger.chinich. This is represented bychin the above list.

Every vowel should be pronounced by itself—not run together so as to make a totally different resultant sound,e.g.Ainoshould be pronounced notī-nō, butā´-ee-nō, theāandeebeing close together, with the greatest stress upon theā, etc.
