The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee, because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth; so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Just as I am, without one pleaBut that Thy blood was shed for me,And that Thou bid'st me come to Thee;O Lamb of God, I come, I come!Just as I am, and waiting notTo rid my soul of one dark blot,To Thee, whose blood can cleanse each spot,O Lamb of God, I come, I come!Just as I am—Thou wilt receive,Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;Because Thy promise I believe,O Lamb of God, I come, I come!Just as I am—Thy love unknownHas broken ev'ry barrier down; Now to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

Behold a Stranger at the door:He gently knocks, has knocked before;Has waited long, is waiting still:You treat no other friend so ill.Oh, lovely attitude! He standsWith melting heart and laden hands;Oh, matchless kindness! and He showsThis matchless kindness to His foes. But will He prove a friend indeed? He will, the very friend you need—The Friend of sinners; yes, 'tis He,With garments dyed on Calvary.Rise, touched with gratitude divine,Turn out His enemy and thine; That soul-destroying monster, sin;And let the heavenly Stranger in.

Down at the cross where my Saviour died,Down where for cleansing from sin I cried,There to my heart was the blood applied—Glory to His name!CHORUS:Glory to His name,Glory to His name! There to my heart was the blood applied—Glory to His name!I am so wondrously saved from sin,—Jesus so sweetly abides within,—There at the cross where He took me in—Glory to His name!O precious fountain that saves from sin,I am so glad I have entered in;There Jesus saved me and keeps me clean—Glory to His name!Come to this fountain so rich and sweet.Cast thy poor soul at the Saviour's feet.Plunge in today, and be made complete—Glory to His name!

Depth of mercy! can there beMercy still reserved for me?Can my God His wrath forbear?Me, the chief of sinners, spare?I have long withstood His grace,Long provoked Him to His face;Would not hearken to His calls;Grieved Him by a thousand falls. Now incline me to repent,Let me now my sins lament; Now my foul revolt deplore,Weep, believe, and sin no more.

I was a wand'ring sheep,I did not love the fold:I did not love my Shepherd's voice,I would not be controlled.I was a wayward child,I did not love my home;I did not love my Father's voice;I loved afar to roam. The Shepherd sought His sheep,The Father sought His child,They followed me o'er vale and hill,O'er deserts waste and wild; They found me nigh to death,Famished and faint, and lone; They bound me with the bands of love; They saved the wand'ring one.Jesus my Shepherd is,'Twas He that loved my soul,'Twas He that washed me in His blood,'Twas He that made me whole;'Twas He that sought the lost,That found the wand'ring sheep,'Twas He that brought me to the fold,'Tis He that still doth keep.I was a wand'ring sheep,I would not be controlled; But now I love the Shepherd's voice,I love, I love the fold;I was a wayward child,I once preferred to roam:But now I love my Father's voiceI love, I love His home

What a Friend we have in Jesus,All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carryEv'rything to God in prayer!O what peace we often forfeit,O what needless pain we bear,All because we do not carryEy'rything to God in prayer.Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged,Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful,Who will all our sorrows share?Jesus knows our ev'ry weakness,Take it to the Lord in prayer. Are we weak and heavy laden,Cumbered with a load of care?Precious Saviour, still our refuge,—Take it to the Lord in prayer.Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?Take it to the Lord in prayer,In His arms He'll take and shield theeThou wilt find a solace there.
