Ethylenediamine, C2H4(NH2)2, a substitution compound of ethylene and ammonia.
Actions and Uses.—It is said to be non-corrosive. It is recommended as an albumin solvent for the solution of false membranes in diphtheria and similar affections of the mucous membranes.
