Now the Great and All-wiseCreatorundoubtedly is the onlySupream,Efficient, and ImmediateAuthorandFinisherof this nobleWork; which, according to the nicestCalculationof the greatestMastersofNature, is most commonly accomplished about theBeginningof theseMiddle Months: At which time, the usualTurn of Naturenecessarily occasions differentEffectsto theChild-bearing Woman; which are call’dSYMPTOMSof theMiddle Months.
ANDtheseSYMPTOMS, in short, I reduce to the followingSevenin Number;viz.1.Coughs; 2.PalpitationsorHeart-Beatings; 3.SwooningsorSyncopes; 4.Watchings; 5.Painsin theHipsandLoins; 6.HemorrhagesorBleedings; and, 7.FluxesofBlood. Of which, in their due Order.
